Details

With mobs threatening to drive them from their homes, thousands of Latter-day Saints flee Nauvoo, their gathering place for the last seven years. Following Brigham Young and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, they travel west across prairie and plain, trusting in God to prepare a home for them beyond the towering peaks of the Rocky Mountains.

Finding a new home is only the beginning of their story. In their quest to serve God and build Zion, the exiled Saints struggle against new obstacles and greater persecutions. Stalwart women and men work together to forge communities where the faithful can gather near temples established for the glory of God and the redemption of the living and the dead. At the same time, hundreds of missionaries journey to distant lands to invite others to come to Christ and help establish Zion.

No Unhallowed Hand is the second book in Saints, a four-volume narrative history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Fast-paced, meticulously researched, and written under the direction of the First Presidency, Saints recounts true stories of Latter-day Saints across the globe and answers the Lord’s call to write history “for the good of the church, and for the rising generations” (Doctrine and Covenants 69:8).

Must read for every Latter Day Saint

by Rik

Extremely well written narrative of our history. Personal stories beautifully woven with the big picture events of the early church. The book Truth Restored helped strengthened my testimony more than anything other then the Book of Mormon. The Saints books has taken it to another level.
