Why did Jesus teach in parables? In part, because some who heard His teachings would have eyes to see and ears to hear, and others would not. Even those who sought to understand gleaned different levels of insight depending of their spiritual readiness, desire, and effort. That was clearly the case in His day, and it seems to still be so today. So how can we continually increase our understanding of Christ's parables and draw ever closer to Him?
