Every day at recess at Riverview Elementary, many of the students gather at the court near the playground to choose teams and play basketball. More than anything else, Ty wants to win and become "king of the court," but no matter how hard his team plays, they always come up short.

Andy is shy and doesn't have any friends. Some of the kids make fun of him because he is tall and clumsy. Being tall is not something to laugh at, and Ty and his friends ask Andy to join them in their quest to beat the champions. By working together will they become the new champions, or will they instead find the true meaning of being kind of court?
