The Four Gospels Simplified Into One By Alton L. Thygerson
The Four Gospels Simplified Into One By Alton L. Thygerson
Details
This book offers a more efficient, effective, and engaging way of reading and learning about Jesus Christ than has previously been devised. Here's what makes this book user-friendly:
- Single narrative. It bends or weaves the four Gospels into a single continuous narrative. None of the four Gospels is complete standing alone.
- Today's modern English. Outdated words have been modified for easier reading.
- Uncomplicated and Straightforward rewording and shortening the stories and teachings for easier reading and better understanding
- Chronological order sequentially covers the mortal life and early post-mortal experiences of the Savior. There is no unanimous agreement about the correct order of events. Even the authors themselves did not always agree on the sequence of events.
- Reader helps by using tables, bullet-point lists, and special notes.
- Unique format splits the events in Jesus's life into small pieces or chunks. This enhances reading, understanding, and remembering. Each chunk in addition to its narrative has its own: Short title, Cross-references to the actual Gospel chapters and verses for further study, Borders surrounding each chunk.
- Appendices. Provides a table to compare and study the differences between the four Gospels. It also gives listings of Jesus's parables, their main messages, and His miracles.
