- “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give unto you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me… and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”
- “In this painting I wanted to depict the Savior with open arms, welcoming and inviting us to come unto Him, the Prince of Peace. My intention was to create an expression of His softness, forgiveness, and understanding, for He knows us and seeks after us that we may find rest and peace in Him. I can imagine that in such an intstance all other details and personal insecurities will fade away. Because of this I intentionally painted Him in white with a soft white background and no other details to distract us from Him. if we follow Him and learn of Him we will truly find ourselves in His rest.”
