Details
Hope’s Egg is literary fiction based on true events that occurred in India, Southeast Asia and the South Pacific. The endearing characters are real people who lived through dangerous circumstances that matched their innocence against machetes. From a brave Garo Princess to a streetwise orphan, these real people will change you. Adults and young adults will gain global perspective and inspiration, while being entertained and uplifted by the adventures of three peculiar people.
Being the poorest of the poor is difficult enough without having to deal with leprosy, slavery, a cleft face, or one’s terribly evil abductors—the struggles and friendship of a determined woman, an abandoned girl, and a very unique boy come together in an inspirational effort to overcome their dire situations and find their purpose.
The true stories behind Hope, Cinta and Nishtha bounce back and forth until they merge toward the end of the book. Hope’s Egg also offers an appendix containing interesting details in short-story formats about the true people and circumstances behind the characters and events in the book.
Every purchase of Hope’s Egg sponsors a potentially life-saving year of Vitamin A treatment for someone in need (through Vitamin Angels). Thank you for your contribution!

This is a book you can read two or three times and still cry while smiling

This book made me cry and smile at the same time. One of my favorite books ever! I think knowing the people and situations are real make the book more emotional.
