We are proud to suggest the poetry of Jan G. Otterstrom F. (a hometown boy made good) to a wider audience. He is a prolific writer, weaving his long life of experience with an academic poetic quality. Prosody that is enriched by the influence of literary tradition that Jan has studied constantly since his years as an English major at Brigham Young University, graduating in 1967.
He since went on to study law and earn his J.D. at Gonzaga University and work many years as a lawyer and also an MBA at INCAE a prestigious business University in Latin America. His work has taken him literally around the world, especially to Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, where in Cuba he was published twice (2005-2008) by the UNEAC Union of Writers and Artists and his poetry widely known and republished in South America.
His book IBIS OF IMAGININGS a poetic diary 1965-1994 was published in Costa Rica in 1995 and GATHERINGS collected poems 2006-2011 in 2011 by Xlibris. He has participated in many poetry conferences in Cuba and Costa Rica. He is now retired in Costa Rica and since that time, his Alma Mater BYU has published his poetic outpouring. His works now fill over twelve volumes with over 1600 poems published.
