Transitions by Jan G. Otterstrom F.

Jan G. Otterstrom, having distinguished himself as a talented young poet in his B.Y.U. student days, receiving the prestigious Hart-Larson Poetry Prize in 1967, has gone on to be internationally recognized with over 1000 poems to his name. He has published in eight prior volumes in Costa Rica, Cuba, Venezuela and the United States. This volume, Transitions expands the range of his talent and shares many new insights from his long life, now in its Seventieth year. His poetry tracks his diurnal migration along his path of life as recorded in his journals.

Jan Otterstrom is a prolific poet with a very fluid poetic style. His poems flow like the water of rivers but they always reach and immerse themselves into the immense universal sea.
-Poet and Educator, Francisco X. Alarcón, California

Jan G. Otterstrom is a leading-edge poet whose words make us "transition" from darkness to light, from drought to rain, from grief to contentment. Reading his poems takes us into isolation from the real world; it is a time to travel and discover new worlds of emotions and sensations as he paints new words on his books.
-Mrs. Sandra Monagas, former assistant to Cultural Department at Indonesian Embassy, Republic of Cuba
