BYU Store & Returns and Exchanges

We are happy to accept your return items purchased online through for exchange or refund. No return authorization is required.

In order for any items to be returned for a full refund, purchases must be returned within 30 days of shipping dates and 15 days for computer hardware. The item must be in new and resalable condition. The merchandise needs to be in original packaging and have all the tags and stickers intact or included. Please included order invoice with return.

We recommend using a traceable and insurable shipping method. The BYU Store is not responsible for returned merchandise until it is received at the BYU Store.

Return Shipping is at cost to customer

Return shipping cost is the customer's responsibility unless items are defective or it is determined that the BYU Store is in error. For defective returns or BYU Store errors, BYU Store will credit the customer's return shipping cost (not to exceed published FedEx Ground shipping rates).

If you have any questions or concerns, please call us at 1-800-253-2578 option #2. Items not meeting these requirements will be disposed of at the BYU Store's discretion.

No broken binding or creased pages. Any item that has been specially engraved with name etc. is not returnable.

General Merchandise

Any perishable or special ordered items (i.e. country flags, CTR rings, and graduation stoles) are not eligible for return.


Any computer item that has been opened will not be accepted for a return. If you feel the item is defective call the Computer Department at 1-800-253-2578 option #3 then #7 or 801-422-7119.


Do not return washed or worn items unless defective.
